Winter tree trimming is coming to a close. Normally the time for pruning oaks ends mid March. This year is a little different. I think we will easily have until the 10th of April. If you are cutting down a tree and removing it completely, normally it’s ok to do this anytime of the year. However oaks are very susceptible to the Oak Wilt virus and I would highly recommend not doing this unless there is some type of a dangerous situation. The roots of Oaks are intertwined and the fresh cuts from removal in the warm seasons can allow the insect to infest your Oaks that remain. Use caution.
As always if you have any questions or would like a free estimate, just give us a call. The calendar says Spring is here, but the meteorologist says otherwise. I’m seriously tired of waiting. Let’s get back to work! Pray for Spring.
